چکیده

The activities involved in the production and exploration of crude oil has constantly polluted environment. This study investigated ability an indigenous fungus to utilize petroleum hydrocarbon. Response Surface Methodology was used optimize effects pH, microbial concentration (spores/ml), contact time (days) on removal efficiency refinery effluent. Monocillium sp. isolated for treatment effluent due its predominance contaminated soil. Twenty experimental runs were analyzed determine effect efficiency. From theexperimental results obtained, a maximum 98.42 % achieved at pH 6.5, 14 days, 3 spores/ml. obtained showed percentage sample increased with increase time. Optimization result 98.59 %, 13.96 6.85, 3.01 findings this revealed that is viable hydrocarbon degrader, can be bioremediation environments.

Statistical Optimization of Crude Oil Biodegradation by Marinobacter sp. Isolated from Qeshm Island, Iran

Background: Hydrocarbons degradation is principally achieved by microorganisms in natural environments. The extent of hydrocarbons biodegradation is mainly conditioned by environmental factors and its success depends on the optimal condition for the crude oil degrading isolates. Objectives: The aims of the current study was to isolate and identify crude oil degrading bacterium from surface sed...

Optimization of Biodiesel Production from Castor Oil Using a Microwave Via Response Surface Methodology (RSM)

The purpose of this research work was to investigate the optimum operating conditions for biodiesel production from castor oil using a microwave. The Box–Behnken design of experiment was carried out using the Design Expert 7. A response surface methodology (RSM) was used to analyze the influence of the process variables (molar ratio of methanol to castor oil, catalyst concentration, reaction ti...

Biodiesel Production from Crude Cottonseed Oil: An Optimization Process Using Response Surface Methodology

Biodiesel, known as fatty acid methyl ester (FAME), was produced from crude cottonseed oil (triglycerides) by transesterification with methanol in the presence of sodium hydroxide. This process was optimized by applying factorial design and response surface methodology (RSM) with SAS and PSIPLOT programs. A second-order mathematical model was obtained to predict the yield as a function of metha...

Photocatalytic Removal of Amaranth Optimization Using Response Surface Methodology

Since Amaranth (AM) is one of the dye compounds which is harmful to human’s life its removal from industrial waste water would reduce their environmental impact and health effect. Copper nanoparticle (CuNP) is a simple and eco-friendly material which can be used to remove this pollutant. In this paper, copper nanoparticles were synthesized, for removal of AM dye. The experiments were designed b...

Modeling and optimization of oil refinery wastewater chemical oxygen demand removal in dissolved air flotation system by response surface methodology

In this present study the dissolved air flotation (DAF) system was investigated for the treatment of Kermanshah Oil Refinery wastewater. The effect of three parameters on flotation efficiency including of flow rate (outflow from the flotation tank), saturation pressure and coagulant dosage on chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal was examined experimentally. All the experiments were done under a...
